Russia to allocate 1 bln rbl to subsidize charter flights in 2022
MOSCOW, Feb 3 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will allocate 1.2 billion rubles in subsidies to the tour operators on the local charter flights in 2022, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Thursday.
"The government will provide subsidies for charter flights between Russian cities, (this year) as well as last year, and with their help, the operators will be able to reimburse up to 50% of the costs on flight organization,” Mishustin said.
“The national tourism project envisages 1.2 billion rubles of spending annually in the next three years."
He said that the measure could make package tours to the popular tourist destinations in the country more affordable.
